"Fishy Swa" - Free Glass Giveaway on Etsy Glass

We had such a terrific turn out for the One World One Heart Drawing that I thought it would be fun to continue with that. The members of the Etsy Glass team will be doing a monthly drawing of our creative glass items on our blog.

My First Sock! Etc!

Hi... just a little up date. I got my first sock done in record time. I think it was about 2 1/2 weeks or less. I have started the second one and am really enjoying myself knitting. The sock looks a little weird. I told my husband it looks like it belongs to Olive-Oil. But it fits great! The top stretches like it should and everything. I will have to say I am quite impressed with myself and humble too. =)

My neighbors came over Saturday to make some bracelets. They each made one and it was really nice to get to know them better. I enjoyed it!

Made a lot of new beads over the weekend that I will be listing on my Etsy site this week.

The first picture has two wooden beads that my husband made on his lathe. They are really pretty with the silver core. I added a bead to the set that is also silver cored and made of glass.

Aquarium and Fishies and Pie

My husband and I took our granddaughter to the local aquarium last Saturday and I got some inspiration for making a few fishies as a bonus. They are listed in my Etsy shop for purchase.
I am also learning how to knit and thought I would keep a little photo diary of my progress on here. I knitted a scarf in the 6th grade and that is the last time I did it. So it is fun to try again. I made a hat on round needles and now I am working on a pair of socks. Ambitious I know! A friend of mine sent me some much needed instructions and offered help should I need it. She also said that I should have no problem. I'm not sure she heard me when I said I just started. =)
So here is the first sock and I am getting a little nervous because I have only about one more inch before I have to do the heel. Wish me luck!
Cami (granddaughter) and I made a couple of cherry pies after the trip to the aquarium. Handing down my grandma's recipe (altho she is a little young yet). She had a lot of fun making cut outs for the top as you can see.

This one takes a little imagination. Dad loved to ride with mom on their motorcycle, so I decided to try and make one and had NO idea where to start or how to go about it. This is what I came up with and if you squint a little and don't look at the other side you will see it. =).
